  Re: Crimson Skies

(...) I don't think it's the shape of your plane that makes it a stretch for CS as much as it's the high-tech looking weaponry. Exchange that stuff for some large primitive looking machine guns and I think you'd be a lot closer to the CS style... (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Crimson Skies

(...) While I like Andrews plane, and can see where you classify it as 'conventional', my question is - how unconventional is too unconventional? I know this borders on threadjacking or bumping, but I've been wondering if my (URL) latest bird> was (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

(...) I just saw this looking around on brickshelf yesterday, and was very impressed. I like that you managed to capture the shape of the carrier in a relatively small MOC. Daniel Rubin (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Crimson Skies

(...) Not really. I don't think you understand what I was trying to point out. Your plane follows the very typical composition with two large wings forward, with a standard tail design. It looks like any given forward-prop-driven plane dating from (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

I feel kindah silly replying to my own post, but I want to let you all know that I uploaded more pictures to the Brickshelf gallery, and I also updated the MOCpages site.   Re: Crimson Skies

(...) Wow, the GA himself! Still posting from the barrel in your cell? Thanks for the reply. But I think I'd disagree on that point--many of the planes in the game are just regular planes (I bought the game to see what all the hype was about). For (...)   Re: CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

Nice work! I have some pics of CVN-65 that I pulled from the web just in case I'd stumble on LFB's collection of gray .) Never thought about doing it microscale :) Again, well done! (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Crimson Skies

(...) I'm glad you feel inspired to build Crimson Skies. However, one of the tenets of the Crimson Skies style is that the planes are sort of futuristically shaped, yet in a 1942 style. So they do a lot of rearranging of common aircraft elements (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Crimson Skies

Hi all I've seen Crimson Skies posted to .space before, so I thought I'd see what you all think. (also post to .military) Here's the SkyWolf, armed to the teeth with four machine guns and a vicious turn radius ;-) After Mod: (URL) Deeplinks: (2 (...)   Re: CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

(...) Hey Mark, I just saw this on Brickshelf and ran over here to sing its praises. Very well done. Like Joe, the thing that stands out most toe is the offset angle of the runway. The way you did the hull is very cool, too. I crossposted this to (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

(...) Well, it's about time someone did an aircraft carrier:)! Very nice work overall, and the off-angle landing strip is clever! You plan to put teeny planes on it? Good work! Joe Meno .space paparazzi! (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.military)

CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier MOC

Here are some pictures of my new MOC, the CVN - 65 USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier. It took about 20 hours to build, and most of that time was spent on the hull, as there were so many different angles to make. The model is as accurate as I could (...)   Nighthawk - Crimson Skies???

I think this sort of qualifies as Crimson Skies, though it turned out a wee bit too futuristic.   Re: B.I. Joe : A.W.E. Striker

(...) Gil, this is sweet! Lots of detail packed in this one. The gun is superb. I love the short stubby-ness of it. Very minifig-ish. Great job recreating the Hasbro version. It has a over all great military look. Well done. -Captain John “aka Mark (...) (21 years ago, 3-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
