Hi!
Here's a pic of a Mechanised Infantry Combat Vehicle that I built.

A MICV, as far as I understand is basically an APC with enough fighting
capability for it to take active part in battle, along side infantry and heavier
armour, whereas an APC is more of a battlefield taxi, used primarly to transport
the foot soldiers into battle.
This one has a driver and commander in tandem positions in the hull, and a
gunner in the turret. There is space for 4 - 6 guys in the back depending on how
much equipment they have, and how squished they are willing to be. It is armed
with a machine gun, a machine cannon and some anti armour rockets. It has hatches
in the back for some of the troops to stick their heads out and fire from, and
you can't see it in the pic, but there is a rear door that folds down for the
guys to get in and out quickly.
It was inspired by various APCs and MICvs, including the American Bradley, the
British Warrior, the Swedish CV 90 and the Norweigian NM135, the latter of
which I became familiar with during my stint in the Norwegian army.
Thanks to Abe Friedman for taking pictures of this at a recent WAMALUG meeting.

| Hi Magnus- I like this vehicle a lot. You definately captured the look and feel of typical IFV's. There's some nice work with hinges and such to create the angled armor panels, and the turret is well done, too. (I like the rocket launcher (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.military)
