Amazing curvature!
Can you advance more info about dimensions of the project? Essentially the
bow part, that is.

Great work,

Pedro

I downloaded plans for the Destroyer from their website....

http://www.dd-692.com/

... pieced 'em together in Photoshop and enlarged them to minifig scale (1 stud
= 1 foot). The ship is 376 feet long and 40 feet wide.  Do the math and you'll
figure out how big the ship is. Needless to say, it took 12 sheets of 11" x 17"
paper to print the plans. It's 99.9% 2x4 gray bricks, with a few plates and
hinge plates. All of the work you see was done in one day / evening.  The hulls
is by no means done, since it will still require a lot more strengthening ribs,
but the basic shape is complete.

It's more or less the same hull as the Fletcher Class and I'm still debating as
to which actual ship to build. I've tenetativelte chosen the Sumner class,
because I can use the twin 5/38 (in the picture) and quad 40 Bofors I already
have built.

Byt he way, I also have built the hull for a 1:128 scale Iowa class battleship.
If you like the curve here, wait until you see the battleship!

OK, we're going for a picnic now... more building later tonight!

Dan
