  Re: P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

(...) I see. I believe that the actual P-40's engine did not turn, though. The rotary engines where the entire engine turned were common in WWI, but not WWII. It would be tricky to get the same visual design without having the engine rotate though. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Where did you get so many grey pieces? I have a fair number of grey plates (from Classic Space sets), but few bricks. --Bill. (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) Thank you Bill, I am glad you like. One good thing about modeling warships is there so are so many originals of different sizes suitable for small and large collections of grey pieces. Mattias (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

(...) The entire piece is mounted upon a 2x1 brick with a hole in it. I got a four bump long pin in there, holding the cylinder, the propellor, and the spinner, so yes, it does indeed turn. ~Drew (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
