Re: RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(...) That's a very smart design. I like the way the cockpit glass is done. Still, if you'd asked me yesterday I would have said it was impossible - but if anyone was going to actually run out of digital bricks and have to resort to plastic ones to (...)   RAAF Boomerang - wow! real bricks

(2 URLs) BS> (URL) Flickr> I couldn't build the CAC Wirraway out of my bricks so I decided to build its smaller and meaner cousin, the CAC Boomerang. It's somewhere between 1:32 and 1:35 scale which is bigger than I usually build but I think getting (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: hay guyz i built a tank

(...) Oh, I think you're doing it fine. The flattened flowers take the cake. Nice little diorama! Cheers! ~ Paul. (18 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) Hi Klaus, Thanks. I'm not sure if the wings would stay up but triple plate hinges are pretty strong so they might and if not I would just add more. The other weak part could be the stud rotation in the inner wing using technic bricks with (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) Hi Tim, very nice model indeed! I really like the way you build the canopy. I you build this model for real, would the wings stay up like that or did you build a support underneath? take care Klaus (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Magnus, thanks for the praise :-) This model has no interior, yet there would be enough space to build one in it. Here are a few picture links to the actual aircraft: (URL) was surprised that even here in Germany, not to many visitors at (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) Nice work, indeed, CH Tim! An excellent model of a significant 'plane! Spotlighted. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 14-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Matthias, yes, this model is in the same scale as my other aircraft models, roughly 1:40 Minifig scale. I strengthened the wings only with a few rows of Technic bricks. For the rest I used simple plates. At the moment I do not have time to (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

Klaus, WOW! This is quite amazing! I can't say much but echo everyone else sentiments, you've pulled off some very challenging angles and shapes here, and the result is terrific! Always interesting to see WWII hardware I hadn't seen before. Does the (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: RAAF Wirraway

(...) "hope?" Wow, you are on a serious roll with the volume of models you've been producing - you did a lot of great work here. I really like the work on the canopy and cowling! Joe Meno (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Klaus Great model again! I like the colors and the studless appearance. Is this large aircraft in the same scale as your earlier Ju-52, DC-3, DC-4 etc? This model must be rather heavy - have you strengthened the wings internally in some (...) (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Superb work all round ! I was very impressed with the Storch as well, since you have so few pieces to work with, plus it's camouflaged. -pete.w (18 years ago, 13-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Will thanks for the praise :-)....and also thanks to everybody else for their praise and comments! Hm...the wings are simple but a little complicated to explain but I will give my best! To tilt the wing tips I simply used hinge plates (part (...) (18 years ago, 12-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Aliens Style APC

Paul, Steering like this is easy enough if you have space under the vehicle. Check out the pix showing the underside of my Wild Boar APC, in this case I was even able to incorporate suspension, but this system wouldn't work with just the four wheels (...)   Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Klaus, this is just beautiful! The diorama compliments the massive airframe wonderfully. I especially like the polyhedral wing. How did you achieve it, and keep the surface so uniform and tight near the joints? Now, all you troops need are (...) (18 years ago, 12-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Klaus, Simply marvelous, I saw a few pictures of your Gigant in an earlier post praising German AFOLs, and it's great to see even more of it, and the other vehicles in your diorama. It's amazing to consider that it could even fly. Thanks, (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Messerschmitt Me 323

(...) Hi Klaus, Excellent work as usual. There's far too many good bits for me to single many out but I'll try. The nose is spectacular. I really love these built up, heavily snotted slope noses which are somewhere between classic lego park (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.military)
