  Re: F/A-18 Hornet

(...) Thanks for the comments. The camouflage obscures the shape somewhat. Of course, in real life that's part of the point of having camouflage, but it doesn't help with my MOC. It is not unlikely that in the future I will change the colour scheme (...) (18 years ago, 3-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military)

Sweet! Although, I'm a fan of the overall-grey scheme used on fleet aircraft. You really captured the shape, and it's more obvious in the pic next to the F-16. (18 years ago, 3-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military)

  Spirit of 76

I've been reading a lot of American Revolutionary War history lately, and in a small burst of patriotism, I built this small vignette based on the painting of the same name by Archibald McNeal Willard.   F/A-18 Hornet

Yesterday I completed my lastest military MOC, an F/A-18A Hornet. It's on brickshelf: (URL) on MOCpages: (URL) colour scheme might take some getting used to, but it isn't all that different from the real aircraft. Anyway, please let me know what you (...) (...) It's three-wide (four with the wheels). I don't remember how big the Lego cannon is but it's probably a bit bigger. I might work on a smaller version but it's a bit difficult working out what to do for wheels. Tim (18 years ago, 1-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Very cool! How close in size is it to the standard Lego cannon? -Elroy (18 years ago, 1-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Hi again, I decided to take your idea and make a ships version. I have no idea how authentic it is. (URL) Tim (18 years ago, 1-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Great work! I posted this over on EB so all the pirate fanatics there can see it. Nice to see a such a 'simple' design. God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (18 years ago, 1-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

(...) Hi Elroy, This is an excellent cannon. I love simple but effective designs and this one rates highly. Reminds me of some of JoJo's furniture designs. You can build them out of your pieces, but you'd never think of hem. Tim (18 years ago, 30-Sep-06, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
