You're invited to the first BrickFest MINI MOC Flyin!

Hi all, I'm happy and proud to extend an invitation to everyone in the community to participate in the First BrickFest MINI MOC Flyin! What is the Flyin? This is a display that is open to anyone interested in displaying, regardless of whether or not (...)   Lego Saddam Captured!!!

To commemorate this event in history, I made this little diorama of Saddam's capture using my "Conflict Zone - Global Crisis" near-future theme minifigs like the US soldiers and a quickly built "Saddam" (without the homeless look) minifig. (URL) is (...) (21 years ago, 14-Dec-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Assorted Tanks

Hi Sun Thanks for the info. Regarding Gallidor - I live in Denmark, (25 mins from Billund!) and you just can't find Gallidor anywhere. Closest I got was an auction on ebay.uk. Anyway, I don't think I am missing too much. But I am curious to see (...) (21 years ago, 14-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Assorted Tanks

(...) Thanks Chris. I got the tracks from Pitsco Dacta Lego Store: (URL) They're sold as supplemental packs. It's still fairly expensive but much cheaper than getting multiple power pullers. Lego is probably using the profits from the tread to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Assorted Tanks

Great tanks. I have a question though - almost embarrassed to ask - where do you get the tracks from? I bought the technic "power puller" a while ago and thought I had solved that question. But alas, I would need a hell of a lot of power pullers to (...) (21 years ago, 9-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Assorted Tanks

I went through a military building phase about a year ago. Here's some of the stuff I built circa 11/2002 . . . Russian T-34 (URL) III (URL) a super deformed Panzer III(aka squished) (URL) did a lot more stuff(sherman, panzer4, tiger, panther, (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military) !

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Thanks Gil! I was pretty happy with the look of the bombs. Unfortunately, I liked them too much to shorten them - which led to the use of the slope-plate, making room for the bombs to be held. The whole bomb bay assembly is built upside down, (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Thanks Derek! The back story on the W - I was using red for the trim color, to match the red in the M-Tron hinge panels over the rear landing gear. I wanted a logo on the wing, because many other CS MOC's had some sort of flag insignia built (...) (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Thanks for the compliments Mark. And thanks for the CS Universe link - it was a great source of inspiration & back story. And it shows that even propellers can be cool! -nk (21 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) This is a really nice build, Nick. Using the drk grey plates to frame the light grey ones gives the wings a great depth. And I have to say that those vintage-looking heavy bombs are...well...the bomb. Just wondering...why is that plate (...) (21 years ago, 1-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Blackhawk finished.. this time definitely!

Hi I feel the need to "exorcise" a MOC that has been the result of a busy period with little time for creation but a few snatched moments of tinkering. How many of you out there build something and then rebuild tens of times? I am guessing quite a (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Very cool. I especially like the modularity and the design of the large bombs. And as the GA notes, the "W" from M-Tron is inspired. Was that coincidence, or did you decide on a Wyoming theme based on that element (and the fact that Wyoming (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) (snip) Way cool, Nick. I like the wing shape you have created. I also like how you have used the M-Tron logo upside down as a W. The folding landing gears look great. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (21 years ago, 29-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

By 1939, the independent city-states of Wyoming had formed an alliance to preserve their independence and defend their land from other nations making claims. By 1941, they had several protypical aircraft in their skyways and abroad, protecting their (...) (21 years ago, 29-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies: Arla Kane the Red Fox

(...) Love that blunty nose and long skinny landing gear. It screams: In yo face, Mutha! Lovin' it. Livin' it. We need a fan page with all the CS mocs, cuz I know there are more to come. ~Trev (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies: Arla Kane the Red Fox: Deeplinks

(...) Thanks. I had some difficulty getting the gear to work right, and i still think it looks funny with the gear down, but then again. thanks for the feedback! -lenny (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies: Arla Kane the Red Fox

(...) Hey Mark, You know what? I agree with you. Unfortunately, I never thought I'd be doing ww2-esque fighters, and so I dont have any tri-props in the correct size. I do have some, but they look so small as to be laughable. When I get some new (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies: Arla Kane the Red Fox: Deeplinks

(...) Oh yeah, dig that. Unusual configuration and folding landing gear. I like the shape of the fuselage too. Awesome. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies: Arla Kane the Red Fox

(...) Hi Lenny, This is a great little fighter. Well done! I really like the long nose design. The sleek body and blunt nose nails the eastern block look. If I may make one critique? I do think it would look nicer with triple blade prop. Can't wait (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
