(URL) made this ship during August or September, but it takes a while for me to develop photos... I like to call this vessel a scraper-ship, since it is similarly built to a (Lego) skyscraper. (...) Thats a nice looking ship. Perhaps some recall my First National Bank from almost 4 yrs ago: (URL) used a similar curve technique. There is an 18" ruler and 7" brass bank that was the reference in the first picture. Maybe you also remember my (...) (22 years ago, 8-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.military)

I am suspecting that this technique won't work well for cargo ships, or other hulls that have a lot of bow curvature but for cruisers and destroyers which knife through the water it works really well. (...) The hull is only 1x2s at the very ends. At the aft there is a really steep curve and at the bow there is actually a flare, although it's really subtle.
