Personally, I don’t mind studs at all and as a matter of fact, they remind me of my childhood so I say buck the trend!! Long live studded construction! :-)

And I’m afraid that I’m not familiar with the three color rule - is that something that some MOCers made up somewhere?

   I know it’s only microscale, and it is a capital ship, but I think some well thought out landing gear would be a plus.

Based on how big I want it to be (say Star Destroyer size), its much too bulky to land on a planet for my purposes.

   You should probably browse some micro capital ships from some of the established builders, and see some of the techniques that they’ve used. Over time, you can develop your own style.

Hmm - I thought my style was to not look anything like other people’s...
