| | Introducing - The MOCBox
Inspired by the feedback to my recent (URL) MOC. I played around with the large trans-clear panel piece and came up with a simple idea for a container which I call the MOCBox. My first build was in response to (URL) Joe Meno's comment> about a Sea (...) (...) Oh that little engine on the flatcar is just so cute! Small question tho, did you consider putting any 1x6 lt. grey plates on the drive wheels of the mini-model to better match the large engine's rods? Or did it seem they would be too big in (...) (2 URLs) Post Mod Gallery> Here is a mini version of my #805 I built this afternoon. I've been wanting to build a mini-scale train to ride on a small flatbed car for a long time now, but I never really got the gumption to try to build a MOC of my (...) Incidentally, I noticed that the windscreen shown in Peeron's (URL) 4939 inventory> is not exactly the same as the (URL) window>, which has 1 x 1 connectors in its front corners instead of 1 x 3 connectors. (...) Thanks! Yeah, I like to do alternate models out of "philosophical solidarity" with all the kids (like me, more or less) without the resources to build big collections. Anyway, I'm glad that the LDraw files are appreciated. Eventually I intend (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) Jim, These are great. I'm always happy to see folks post single-set alternate models and the fact that you posted the MPD file makes it even better, allowing others to recreate it. Thanks and Regards, Paul (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

| | 4939 Alternate Models: Snow Plow and Helicopter
Here are some little models I made from the "(URL) Cars>" set: a snow plow and a lil' helicopter. The snow plow should be a familiar sight to anyone from wintry climes. The shape of the main plow isn't really right for a highway plow, but it does (...) (18 years ago, 14-Mar-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !

Very nice! The texturing is great and the overall look is very well done. The spires strike me as a little thin but I can't think what you would do about it... Thanks for sharing! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) I do't think it's too short. I think it's too low. But it's a fantastic model. My favourite bit is the texturing with technic bricks with axle holes and axles. The reflection is a great idea too. Tim (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Good job on your model. However there is one thing that bugs me. The main dome/spire is way too small/short See picture: (URL) If you can just adjust it, then it will be a great model. (18 years ago, 12-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
