  Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) The 1 x 2 version of the rail plate was suggested in another post. I'm wondering how you would use a mag-lev method to motorize the train on these rails, something like (URL) this> that was created in Europe. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (...) (...) Jason, Wonderful model! While I am busy on other projects, some really cool workis going on, and I feel a little behind the curve :-) ! Your micro work is very impressive - your farm was really cool at BrickFest and this is great and a great (...) (19 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) Wow, that is even more complicated than I first realised. I hadn't noticed the studs up section between the rails, and didn't realise what the gauge was. In my head I was visualising a full-snot solution something like: (2 URLs) (This is a (...) (19 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) Thanks Tim! Because the tracks are 2 studs wide on the inside they perfectly fit bogeys designed with 1x1 rounds separated by 3 plates. Tony Hafner's (URL) 2-Wide Diesel Freight Train> is a great example of a train using this technique. The (...) (19 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) Thanks for the comments Nathan! As Marc mentioned, the track is made up of door rail pieces with tiles on top, fit snugly into the space between the wall of a 1 x 2 panel and an adjacent brick. See the picture below. (URL) I actually used (...) (19 years ago, 7-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro Steam Engine

(...) That so totally rocks, Jason. I'm building that tonight... guess I'm just gonna have to stay up later getting ready for NWBC. Very nice work, as always. The outline of the train is right on. My only complaint is builders like you setting the (...) (19 years ago, 6-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Mr.Allemann, you are a god among men. Both in terms of your uncanny good looks and your uncanny Micro skillz. Meeting you at BrickFest was a moment that I'll wish I'd never forget (yet might, cuz I totally sloshed). -Lenny (19 years ago, 6-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro Steam Engine

Looks amazing! What is the dk grey piece you used for tracks? This is one of the best odd-piece solutions I've seen in ages, perhaps ever : ) God Bless, Nathan (19 years ago, 6-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

(...) Hi Tim, You caught me :) This was a bit of intentional photoshopping. I am not sure if I did the outlines perfectly. It amazes me how just a tiny line increased the visual separation of black parts. I may have to use this technic in the (...)   Re: Micro Castle

A nice collection of MOCs, I won't comment on which is best... ; ) Seriously; I like the drawbridge chains, a nice use of a 'town' part. One of these days I'll have to try a micro castle... Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Visit my (...) (19 years ago, 5-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Cool moc, one question about the photo above, The black drawbridge cables seem to have a fine white fringe around them (especially the near one) that really helps distinguish them from the black drawbridge itself.   Re: Micro Castle

(...) Hi Jason, Thank you for your comments. I seriously doubt that I can make a good castle even smaller :) The chains were a spur of a moment decision.
