  Re: It's a bird, it's a plane, it's . . .

(...) It's a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. A tribute for Christopher Reeve that brought a tear to my eye was over at PVP.com Anyway, nicely done. Dave K (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  It's a bird, it's a plane, it's . . .

Superman! (2 URLs) Christopher Reeve played a hero on screen but was even more heroic in his life. Here's my little tribute. I can't take any credit for the fig design, BTW. I've seen others use that exact same combination. Bruce (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !!

  Re: Sears Tower Revisited

(...) Thanks. But you have to admit MichLUG certainly has no shortage of potential candidates for that award! I was never really happy with the old model. It was dull and horribly boring to build. One of the realism goals I've been trying to achieve (...) (20 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Sears Tower Revisited

(...) Oh my. I have a new candidate for "most insane member of MichLUG." Very nicely done, Spencer! Peter (20 years ago, 12-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Sears Tower Revisited

After visiting the Sears Tower for the first time this past summer, I decided my (URL) existing microfig model> was sorely in need of a major rebuild. So I completely dismantled it and started from scratch using the multitude of photos I had taken (...)   Re: 3 Vignettes and some 'figs

(...) I saw this on Brickshelf 'afore you posted it, I thought it was a vignette of Edgar Allen Poe's story a Tell Tale Heart (the one where a guy kills and butchers another and puts him under the floor boards and tries to forget that he is there, (...) Hello. I made 3 vignettes. Gong Farmer and Garderobe: (URL) Oubliette: (URL) (An oubliette is a very small prison chamber with a small door at the top.   Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) Nicely Done! As someone who builds only in the classic Lego scale (classic door = 3 bricks tall), I like "diminutive" Lego projects. As for the Sydney Opera House, here is what you need a few of: (URL) few of these sloped brick peaks with (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) Thanks! I experimented with widening the bases, but couldn't get anything that looked satisfactory (hey, I'd invested five and a half minutes in this moc, and I didn't want to get carried away!). Now, if Lego would just produce a 2x1 inverted (...) (20 years ago, 5-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) LOL, and it could definitely be improved with a row of slopes at the bottom of the pylons, but now I'm just being pedantic. Nicely done Richie! ROSCO (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) First of all, I am not an islander and don't object to your design. But where are the green plates, those pylons don't sit in water ! Unless it's post-global warming and the rusty coathanger sits above the new sea-level. By then everyone may (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)
