Re: DS Imperial Docking Bay Details

(...) Thanks! Those two ISD's were actually last minute additions. I don't know of any dioramas that exist using that kind of perspective using the ships. But I've done one before using Hasbro AT-ATs. (URL) AC (20 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Microscale by bccook

I do not have words to describe my reaction. I have been coming to LUGNET only a short time and seldom have I posted but this MOC makes me drool. Sorry to gush like a tween at a Hilary Duff Concert but OH-MY-GOLLY is this ever cool! The Santa Fe (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Microscale by bccook

Hey all, I was away for a few days and was just skimming through the last week of Brickshelf and found this by bccook: (URL) it out--lots of classic sets in microscale. Bruce (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: DS Imperial Docking Bay Details

Hey AC, Nicely done. I especially like the picture where you can see two ISD's flying by--playing with scales like that to imply perspective. Hmm, have you seen any dioramas that use system scale X-wings and TIEs in combination with mini versions to (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Microscale Discovery One

(...) Hey Nathan, I just put this together and I have to say it's pretty sweet. The gray half-pin isn't that big a deal as it actually comes in white in a few sets but it is too bad about the wrench. Your ship has two distinct advantages over mine. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Microscale Discovery One

(...) Well done Nathan. This is proof that both ends of the scale range can inspire awe. (Though, I think it's more nanoscale. Anyone come up with a standard yet?) I'm glad you posted it alongside Jason's version. There must be something in the air. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Re: Microscale Discovery One

(...) Adorable! Ahem. I mean, brilliant! Jason's is astounding, but this can find a spot in my life. Thanks! (21 years ago, 27-Mar-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

  Microscale Discovery One

I had been working on a mide size version of this ship when Jason posted his Discovery One. Lacking the necessary pieces to complete my three foot Discovery, I came up with this, (URL) dark grey box end wrench and the light grey half-pin obviously (...)   Re: I'm back (with new MOCs)

(...) Thanks, Tom. I've always felt that playability is a critical objective in my designs. For example, if I built a mecha that looked good but could barely stand up, I'd go back to the drawing board. It tends to keep my mecha in the small to (...)   new mecha

here's a mech I made with only the pieces in designer set 4100 Maximum wheels-I started with the head & decided to try to builkd a mech for it, an make it as poseable as possible with the pices in the set. I used a lot of basic stud-friction joints (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Pretoria Class Carrier

(...) snip It's quite impressive that you managed to put together a ship this large, and that it can hold itself together. You deffinately have the engineering skills down that will allow you to build some complex large ships. It's very boxy, (...) (URL) started construction of this ship in January (or maybe it was Decemeber, I don't remember which) of 2003, it took about 7 more months for me to finish the model.
