Not a big help, but a little nonetheless:
You can tweak *some* YouTube videos by adding a little extra info to the end
of the url. Try adding "&fmt=18" to the end of your video to see the
results.

Here's the list of format parameter addons as I've copied and pasted it from
the interweb for more info:
Normal, no tag:
320x240 @ 29.97 fps
Flash video (Sorenson h.263)
MP3 Audio (22.05KHz, mono)
FLV container
Format 6 tag: "&fmt=6"
448x298 @ 29.98fps
Flash video (Sorenson h.263)
MP3 Audio (44.1KHz, mono)
FLV Conatiner
Format 18 tag: "&fmt=18"
480x320 @ 29.97fps
MPEG-4 Video (H.264)
MPEG-4 (AAC) audio (44.1KHz, STEREO!)
mp4 container

Anyhow, no real background, this is just an overview of my rebuilt Micro Train (...) (16 years ago, 22-Apr-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale) !
