Reading Chris and Keiths replies really made me smile.
They both bring up many good points and critiques, some that I agree with a lot.
However, I think to really appreciate Erics bots, you have to look at them as
inhabitants of a truly unique LEGO universe. In this universe, flimsy humanoid
robots dance, canine bots urinate on fire hydrants, and rumble bunnies
terrorize the few minifigs and technic figs that remain. It is a very strange
place, but it is also very awe-inspiring. Creativity is everywhere, and no idea
(or LEGO element) is wasted. This is Sophies world, and I want to someday enter
it...
Okay enough of that, Im looking at myself strange too, I assure you. ;-D
The model:
Eric, I love how you took something (the hip joint thing) that doesnt look like
it should work, and actually made it work! Too cool my friend, too cool. Massive
props to ya.
Overall, this is a pretty good model. I actually like the leg design a lot. Its
very angular and makes me wish you made realistic military mecha. Yep, I see
that much potential in just a few well placed slopes and wedges. :-)
Keep up the great work. And never be afraid to experiment with ideas such as
those hips. I respect you for trying out new ideas and being brave! Heres
another set of props for ya Legomasta!
