Thanks ;) Personally, I strongly prefer your seating design. To be really
honest, at the time I built mine, getting it 100% accurate wasn't as important
to me as just making it seem "right". Which probably explains why my guns look
nothing like they should ;) someday I might just go ahead and do a re-build,

I, too, like the trike hose. If you ever get the chance, you should try
ordering some droid bodies and 2x6 curved slopes in light grey, it'd really make
your model complete, IMO. I'd say you've got the most accurate rendition of the
Redtail to date, in all likelihood (yours has much more accurate porportions,
and you used curved slopes which are a real improvement). According to the
Scale Converter, a perfect model would be 24.69 studs long.. I should probably
consider doing a re-build...though I'd need much more parts to do so :)
I'm very curious to ask you, what were your thoughts on the landing gear? I
found it to be the most pesky aspect of the stupid ship, trying to fit a folding
gear-wheel into a 1-stud-wide space there on the bottom of the pods. Also, I
noted that some of the screenshots of the actual ship show a third wheel-one on
either pod, and a third wheel coming down from somewhere behind the MONO pod. I
absolutely could *not* figure out any way to put gear into there...just figuring
out some sort of collapsable system to get the gear to go down about 5 bricks in
height would have been an enormous challenge. And I couldn't see any way to
house the gear either, since the fusilage is so thin behind the pod. The 1x2
plate with handles on the bottom of the MONO was just a cheap way of getting the
ship to sit flat on the two click hinges I put on mine. ;)
In regards to your planned Hammerhead, according to the converter, it needs to
be 61.72 studs long, 35.31 wide, and 22.10 studs tall. Personally, I've never
found the Hammerhead very appealing of a model..although certain other unnamed
CB ships would make for very interesting models IMO (Martian patrol craft, ISSP
ships, etc). It should make for an interesting model, however. Good luck with
it, I hope to see it posted soon! ;)
