   Hi all,

Does anyone have any instructions for some Gundam-like mecha? I don’t want to copy the mecha designs and such but I do need some instructions for certain areas such as the ball shoulders on David Thomas’s mecha and some high heel designs too (this mech I’m gonna make is going to be micro-scale). Thanks guys.

Cheers (*clink*)

Dean

I would recommend Gla Gla’s Armature instructions - the armature is extremely easy to build, and is has (more or less) gundam proportions.

Also check out Eric Sophie’s “little bot” instructions. They have some interesting joint tech ideas and interestig shapes, even if you’re not going for that scale. Sun Yun also has instructions for his Zaku, which are available for a fee (I’m not sure if his Bricklink store is still open...) Maybe also check out Jeff Ranjo’s instructions for his Gouka model. His joint tech might be applicable to brick models as well as Bionicle. There is also a recent article about SNOT tech floating around in the spotlighted section of Lugnet posts which could be useful.

Hope that helps...

Christopher

Uhhhhhhhh...Chris, or anybody, can you tell me the link for the SNOT tech please? And I desperately need instructions for ball-like shoulders, (and the Gundam-like mecha needs to be STRICTLY only bricks, no bionicle or technic, sorry :( ) large hands (can fit a minifig in hand quite well) and....oh, I guess that’s all for now :).

Thanks for the tips.

Cheers

(...) It's not Gundam, and I don't know how helpful it would be. Personally I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not technic or bionicle. (2 URLs) --Anthony (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
