Eric, it looks to me like your whitepoint is measuring for daylight, which gives
a yellow cast under incandescent light. Some cameras come with AUTO settings
which should compensate somewhat under a variety of conditions, others come with
more advanced settings.
Futhermore, I find that Photoshop is still invaluable (especially the Levels and
Sharpen tools) to lighten shadowy areas and refine detail.
Now..
The alternate model is absolutely fantastic! I love the buggy head and the
elegant leg structure-- this has got to be the smallest creation yet from you...
but it doesn't suffer for it! Great job, man!
