Nice work, James.

This version is definitely an improvement over version 1. The
transformation is very cool and dead-on to the toy's, though I see it's much
more flexible :)

Wait until you see my finished Optimus Primal.

Your rendition of the Matrix is pretty darn good (I've been struggling to
come up with a good design, and the chrome bowl piece never crossed my mind).

One bit that bothers me, though - he's really skinny! He's got a lanky,
basketball-player thing going on, while I think of prime as more of a
linebacker's build. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't look bad, just...
beanpoley. Have you thought about going 8-wide in vehicle mode? I think he'd
be more toy-accurate, as the toy truck is almost cubic in its proportions.
Just a thought.

Wow some very good observations. I didn't notice how skinny he looks until
you mentioned it. I think I will do 8-wide.
Anyway, good stuff as usual. Oh! I just noticed the hinges on the trailer
- any chance of a look inside?
-jeremiah-

I posted the pics of the trailer inside hope you like it please give me any
criticism you have on those as well.

PS: is that a spark crystal in his butt-mailbox? Kind of an embarrassing
place to keep one's very essence :)

That's actually supposed to be a storage space for energon....didn't think
of it being in his butt..i'll have to move it up so he doesn't look so comical.

PPS: It's interesting to see the direction you took with Prime's head. I'm
working on one at the same scale, and it's neat to see the similarities and
differences in the two designs.

You've made some great additions to lego transformers and I really like the
drawings your basing your Optimus on. I was thinking of creating my own
Optimus unlike any, where the trailer becomes armor too. Can't wait to see
the finished product.
