i've been searching lugnet in order to find out how to make custom decals
for my lego creations (i think gunjin would look even cooler with a kanji
symbol and a few numbers).  what is the best program and paper to use for
printing these things.  i haven't really seen anyone in the mecha newsgroup
that have used decals before, so i'm also wondering if you guys choose not
to or maybe have a hard time doing it.  any links or info is appreciated.

Hmmm. Well, often when I need info on stuff like this, I harass people at
traditional plastic modeling sites for information. A Google search will turn up
a few. http://www.starshipmodeler.com/ is a good site.

BTW, if you read Japanese, I'd advise picking up a copy of Hobby Japan magazine.
They go into insane amounts of detail on stuff like that.

Sorry I can't help more.
