Hey all
I recently built Mladen's Brute from his ldraw file. I gotta say, this mecha
is SPECTACULAR!!!
I'll start with the arms, this has to be one of the coolest arm designs I've
seen, very cool design. The shoulders are amazing as well, I learned a new
SNOT trick and the shape of them is very cool, although mine aren't perfect
due to lack of pieces.
The torso: This ownz all, very very cool the shape of this thing is just so
freakin cool! and that cockpit, very well done. the hatch is fantastic as well.
The legs are...wow incredible, such cool shapes, especially in the shins,
the dishes add a very nice touch. unfortunately I didn't have all the right
pieces in light grey so I had to use some black in the calfs, oh well, the
model is still awesome.
Overall this is a sweet model, I don't think I have any complaints at all,
and if you have the pieces and mlcad I'd definitely suggest building this mecha!
Great work Mladen! I look forward to making more of your stuff!

I'm going to use this post to show you to some of my stiffened joints I
made recently as well. The ball joint has been up on BS for a while, but the
blue joint is rather new.
The blue joint came in the Droid developer kit, even stiffened it isn't too
terrible useful as it is such a big piece, but I thought maybe for a
shoulder joint on a larger mecha or something. who knows
The ball joint is definitely more useful, the yellow piece I used is a piece
of SOFT flex hose tubing, not pneumatic tubing (although that works, it is
still too thick) the piece I used was found in this set:

there ya go,

| Dang! That is awesome! Man! And you had nearly all the parts. wow. So you get to hold a Mladen Mecha in your hands for real. Excellent. Will you keep it forever and ever and ever? I gotta learn to use LCAD stuff, at least to see the .dat files. (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
