   i to have had a similar problem involving a scaled-down version of some of the big mech joints, and your problem has reminded me of a version i scrapped a few months ago. try getting some of the flex tubing that can be found in the anikins podracer (...)      Interesting solution! I had tried the long pins and found that the end I wanted to stay stayed for the most part...but it wasn't reliable. Increasing the friction of one end is a novel idea indeed. I may just use it in the end. The option of making (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

   (...) I think this is a great suggestion for what Luke is trying to accomplish. Just place the tubing in the center of two long friction axels. If flex tubing gives you too much flex, you could alternatively use the 4L lightsaber blades in it's (...) (22 years ago, 9-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
