This here's a general purpose mech.  That means a grunt's mech.  Sort of
like the jeep.  It's meant to do it all, from construction duty to front
line combat duty.  Cheap to build, durable, very transportable, rugged.
Beast actually got its name from the mechanics that first repaired the mech
and worked out the bugs.  Some still call it the @#%#ing Beast, but most
just call it Beast.

Grunt started as a leg shape, usually as it does start for me, went through
about six iterations and finially here it is!
The arms I'm particuarily pleased with.  They shrug, twist and rotate at the
shoulder.  Bend at the elbow and twist at the wrist.
Legs are posable and can put Beast into different leg positions, but it is
tricky business and that's why I didn't do it for the photos.
I rather like the gun sling, that's where I got the gruntyness idea of
Beast.  A mech that's been fooled with in the field.  Modified to suit
whatever is needed.
A fine addition to the Snow Leopard Clan!

Hmmm, questions?  Comments?

(...) All right Mark!! Looks really good. I've always wnted to use those cockpit pieces for somthing, but they never looked good. Looks a bit like the Hoplite I made. Only the colorscheme! Really smooth build, I like legs ;) Keep it up! Ryan (URL) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) All right! I like the use of the sloped canopy and the minifig Legs as claws! Nicely done! The roll cage to holdthe canopy fits right in with the head. Inspiring, at best! Just my two brickz! <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet member No. 1112 (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Very cool! I like it's very industrial feel. Kind of reminds me a little of your truck squadron... Chris (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
