the yellow on the face... what's up with showing an incomplete MS?

Glad you liked it. A photo op presented itself when I unpacked 03. This is
the first time I've had four of them standing up together, though 06 doesn't
have lower leg armor yet.

I had the pleasure of putting your 03 together at BricksWest. I am still
amazed at how large AND solid your mecha are. 03 Came right out of the box
with only cosmetic damage (though the right hip turntable had unsnapped).

The load bearing on the turntables is good, but it seems they can be popped
apart by a levering force applied to the leg. It's funny that they would
turn out to be weaker than the surrounding structure. When I build I tend to
apply some sort of imagined destructive testing regime which reduces
structural weaknesses (too many completely shattered creations in the past).

I still can't figure out most of what you've done.
Be glad you weren't there or I
would have taken it apart a bit to check out what was under the hood. I kept
making jokes about sending 03 back in pieces after I stole all your
technology. That mecha is so refined. Anyway I didn't mean to gush. Thanks
for sharing such an incredible model with us.

I was more worried about corporate spies.
The guy in the Lego Maniac costume was very suspicious. :-)
But ultimately the technology doesn't matter.
There are so many ways to build things.
It's figuring out new ways that makes building fun.
That's why I don't get very specific on my website about
all the technology I'm using.

I'd be happy to ship a gundam off to a future AFOL event.
Maybe you and Legomaster should think about a display at some sort
of Sci-fi convention. Good mecha designs transcend lego.
Your new red machine is real artwork.
