Hey y'all,

Check out my new mechs I premired at Brickswest.

They're Called Guardian Armors.  I'm going for an old-school name and design
feel (Mazinger Z,  Gaiking, Raideen etc). Anyway I was originally had a
story for these things but when I started writing, it came out all cheesy so
I'll spare you the punishment and just cut to the chase.

Guardian Armored Gouka (Hellfire)

Guardian Armored Sansai (Storm)

More Guardian Armors to come!  One in each flavor!!

Please if you have any comments or critiques please feel free to fire away!!

Jeff

PS Thanks to Mark Sandlin and Mark Neumann for the  eye through the
upsidedown mask idea.  I had a  helluva time coming up with a head design
for Sansai until I remembered their Firecricket and Cyclops.

I saw these a few day ago on brickshelf and was waiting to comment on them.

The Sansai is really great. The bow is briliant.  the feet are so cool.  the
head is nice too.  I love the shoulder armor.  Such great use of bionicle
and technic parts.   oh yeah and the hands are pretty cool too.  great beefy
mecha which is hard to do with bionicle and technic parts.

The Gouka is pretty cool too but I like the Sansai better.  perhaps the
appearent masivness of the Sansai . . . ?  I really like the head, shoulders
and chest.  My least favorite parts are the arms and hands.  tho in some
pics (like this one
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/THRAXISjr/GAGouka/gagouka-frontchest.jpg)
they look pretty cool.

These have a great organic anime feel to them.  (as do most of your mecha)
I can't wait to see the rest (are you doing one for each bionicle type?)

John

(...) <snip> Yeah I've been at a loss on the hand front. Normally my MOCs don't really have hands. I need to work on them but keep them true to technic style bricks. Does anybody have any suggestions? /:-( Jeff (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
