It looks like the literature isn't going to back me up on this one.  According
to its technical notes entry (1) in the Unofficial ROBOTECH Reference Guide,
2060 Edition, the name "Excalibur" was created just for the Matchbox toy line,
while the destroid is referred to specifically as "Tomahawk" in episode #27 of
the Robotech series.  The Guide mentions in passing that "MBR-04 Mk VI Destroid
Tomahawk" is the original Macross designation for this mecha, but doesn't offer
any specific references.
