Hmmm... That is actually an excellent idea! I would love to implement it, but
it's just that I love sticking to the three-colours I choose for my models. You
can see that in all of my 2001 design. I just ***HATE*** jumping out of my
colour schemes. But good suggestion nonetheless.

Yes they must be there! The click hinges (48 in total) are insufficient in
supporting the MDP's weight. On carpets, it might work without them, but not on
slick surfaces. That was the major problem I had with my previous two
platforms, so I really wanted this one to be sturdy.
