Boy, one picture doesn't satisfy you guys, so I guess I'll upload em all. :-) (URL) is the Zion. Equipped with full arsenal of laser sword, KA-101 BLAM rifle, shoulder cannon, and wrist cannons, the Zion is the first mech I've built this large that (...)   Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Nice mech! Is there a background story to go along with it as well? For example why is it called The Zion? Keep them comming! Bobby (Neo)Oz) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Erm, allow me: SIEG ZION! ;) (...) Kewl... reminds me of the RX-78 "Perfect Gundam" variant, what with the big bright patches of red. Love the rifle (I just likes mecha-scaled rifles!) Criminy, I got some catching up to do.... Chris "Also" (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

Why is it when I look at te Zion I start drooling? That is one NICE mecha, Chris! It's quite the cool Gundam variant....the chest is my favorite part on it. It looks like a scaled down version of something I'm working on at the moment that should be (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) <grin> yeah, I 'spose so. :-) (...) Thanks Mladen. Well, a leap, yeah, but actually this is still the same scale. It's a microfig creation too. :-) Just a helluva lot bigger. :-) (...) Of course you are! The gun just wasn't looking right, no (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Thanks! Nah. I don't much get into making stories around the mechs. That's what castle is for (right castleheads?!) :-) I just enjoy building them. It's called the Zion because...well, because that's the name I came up with when I was making (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) heehee...:-) (...) Thanks! There was lots of Endless Waltz watching and picture hunting before I made this one...I did my homework. :-) I wanted to make it look similar, yet totally different.   Re: New mech: The Zion

Great work Chris! That is one awesome mech. The legs are so detailed, very well crafted, the feet have a very neat design to them too. The rifle is awesome, twin barreled, it looks like it would pack a punch. The shoulder pads are cool too, You hid (...) (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) Thanks! (...) Yeah, well, that's why it's called the KA-BLAM. :-) (...) <grin> nope, the only ball joints I used in this mech were two; the leg-to-hip joint. I used the ball w/ axleholes there. (...) Tankya much! -Chris (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mech: The Zion

(...) It has nice proportions and a pleasant color scheme, very much like a toy gundam. The contrast of the candy-coated aspects with the more serious details make it an interesting custom design. I like it. "K" (23 years ago, 25-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
