Just an FYI: the best place for this discussion (indeed, it may have been
rehashed there many times :-) would be a dear-lego newsgroup or a marketing

I for one would love to be able to order just the joint pieces I need.
However, it's my understanding that (1) TLG is still evaluating the current
prorotype bulk ordering system, and that (2) some pieces will be kept scarse
in order to not undermine set sales...
