This could be the set up to a very involved backstory...

Didn't the Aztecs cut the hearts out of live Timmys?
BTW my theory is that Jar Jars are just Timmys dressed up in funny costumes.
They all talk funny only because you can't hear them right through all the
foam on the mask.
