Hello again!  Thanks everyone for all of the kind words regarding Cepheus.
I've posted some more images of him, as well as of some other stuff I've made.
The small insect looking mechs are simple, but fun.  I had planned on trying to
mass produce them as some sort of insectoid army, but LEGO hasn't been making a
lot of sets with the little claws I was using for hands or the Technic
peg-hinge thingies that I used for joints, so, oh well....

One of the pictures I posted of Cepheus shows him standing on one leg.  This
isn't a trick or anything; it really can do this! (Of course, I typically have
to spend five to ten minutes balancing it properly)  This demonstrates the
power  of the joint mechanism used.  Someone had asked about it, so I also
included a large picture of an arm joint.  The Idea is that a gear is kept in
contact with a round Lego thingy (you'll have to forgive my total ignorance of
LEGO terminology) by springs.  When you bend a joint, it clicks from one tooth
of a gear to the next.  The downside is that, at least on Cepheus, no joint is
ever sraight (at 180 degrees).  Newer designs overcome this problem by using a
second, smaller gear.  Also, you might have noticed that in one of the pictures
Cepheus has brown parts on him; in other pictures Cepheus is all black and
grey, and has shoulder pads.  He underwent some changes when I bought the
Darkside Developer kit. Anyway, the shoulder pads are easily removable,
depending on my mood.

So, I think I'm done posting pictures for a little bit.  I was borrowing
someone's digital camera, and they wanted it back, and said they wouldn't loan
it to me again because I kept it for so long :{  But I'll definitely be keeping
an eye on all of the cool stuff going on, now that I can post messages.  And
this summer, I'll probably tackle my next big project, which will either be a
newer endoskeletal type mech, or maybe a Giant Zrk or something.  Thanks again
for the warm welcome and kind words!

Christopher
