One of my main pet peeves with CAD models is when people build them without
concern for whether the model would really work in RL. :^(

The second is when parts are rendered in unproduced colors. It means you
can't actually build the model in RL.

Don't get me wrong, I do like your model very much... I just have "issues"
with the CAD stuff sometimes. :^(

Mark,
I can really understand where you're coming from.  I do try to build in RL
first, then CAD.  Time and space constraints being what they are, and my
focus being on getting the model into the computer, building with CAD really
works well for me.  It will never beat sitting down with a pile of bricks and
building something kick@$$,  but it  gets the job done.

As for the upper arm design, I really did build it, and it *is* relatively
secure.  However, I didn't go PowerRangering around the room with it or
anything.  8)

As for CAD vs. Photo?
Check this out:

THIS is why I CAD.  I could dig through my entire kit for the right bricks,
but that means a long term mess in a house that really can't afford it. 8)
So, lots of things end up being UGLY.  Not all of them.  It really depends on
the demands on my time.

Oh, here's the arm:

I really like being able to clean up my models in CAD, plus because I'm not
all that crazy about the newer stuff, I don't always have the parts to do
what I want, and with CAD, I can.

I know that this debate has been gone over before, just wanted to throw in my
.02.  8)

Plus, I wanted to respond to your comments, Mark, so you don't think I'm a
philistine LEGO wannabe.  8*)  HA!  Joke!

Oh,well.  8)
