Hello,
during the last month I spent some time working with MLCad. After I had read
Virtual LEGO it was quite easy to use.

Hi Marco,
Nice work on the model design, model entry and building instructions.
LEGO Power Tools, and Virtual LEGO are by now moderatly out of date with
respect to the cutting edge of facilities.
LPub now supports LDView and ldglite as renderers. They are much faster,
and have built in support for edge line rendering.
LPub has a number of new features:
1. Support for the concept of building instructions organized into pages
This is called layout by LPub. The simplest page has an assembly image
a step number and possibly a part list image. It can also have
small sub-models assembled in steps off to the side or top of the
main assembly image (these are refered to as callouts).
2. Multiple steps per page, with the option of part list image
being rendered per step. You can have callout(s) within steps
too.
3. Option of part list image per callout step.
4. Insertion of arbitrary pictures onto a page.
5. PNG image format, with transparency support (you can have an
arbitrary background picture overlayed with your building instruction
images.
6. Tighter compaction in part list images.
7. More things that I dont remember off the top of my head.
You can get the most recent version of LPub at:
http://www.kclague.net/LPub
One minor nit. I find the borderless part list images in your instructions
visually confusing.
Welcome to the wonderful world of LDraw!
