hah, nice one JP Something about your mech struck a chord with me, I couldn't figure out what it was. So, true to my style I start surfing my links, and found (URL) by Makoto Kobayashi. (thanks to Soren the anime junkie Roberts for turning me onto (...) (18 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks Mark! I didn't know about Makoto Kobayashi (URL) before you mentioned him, no inspiration coming form there. Inspiration came more from (URL) kind of bot - which looks similar to your example anyway: strong arms, short legs - ape style (...) That's a very good EVA look for a pirate mech. You've mentioned on CSF I believe, that you went for a realistic approach to the "Arr, send them to Davey Jones's locker" look. I think fusion cutters and buzzsaws/chainsaws would work well for hull (...) (18 years ago, 23-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks Fradel! EVA = Extravehicular activity? I think I should have added some accessories, but I didn't really know what, and I didn't want to add realistic gunz. Chainsaw is a good idea.
