Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) That looks really great! I've fallen out of watching the show, but mainly because I don't stay up so late anymore when it's on. My only suggestion for the head is to add another 4x4 blue wheel (the kind with the 4 technic holes around the (...) (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Brickshelf Find: BAAL by dennisc888

(...) Thanks Marco for the kind mention. I'm glad you like the model. :) I just submitted these pics late last night to BS, and I'll create some proper MOC announcement posts when I get home from work tonight. Thanks again! Dennis (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Hello, I found this on Brickshelf, and thought you might like it! (URL) Enjoy (URL) Marco> P.S.: I'm really puzzled by BS lately. In the MECHA recent folder I only find space ships and other stuff. Mecha are very rare there nowadays!? (18 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) Not sure how much more detail I could fit on it but expect an email from me. (...) The back is minifig scale rather than person scale. As such it is a little deeper than the real thing because minifigs are a little deeper than people (even (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

(...) If you'd like, I can send you a scan or twenty of my Ghost In the shell manga which shows these mechs in very good detail (and plotting a rebellion to boot!) Give me a buzz on my email @gmail.com if you're interested. Your mech is pretty (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) That's 'cause I stole his leg joints ;) (and forgot to credit them so thanks Jon, it wasn't a direct steal which was why I forgot... sorry) (...) I'm afraid that probably won't help but... thanks :P (...) I'm trying to dabble a bit more. Now (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

Looks good Tim, The build reminds me a lot of Jon's bots. Of course wandering down the street can remind me of Jon's bots so.... Sorry, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to Ldraw stuff. My only suggestion is to build it out of brick. That aught to (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Definitely gracious. You will attain divine blessing from me. (...) Well if you look at the picture I link to in the original post (oh yes, the comb comment has earned some sarcasm ;) ) you will see that the top of the heard is rather round. (...)   Re: Tachikoma tank mecha - Ghost in the Shell

that's very pretty. (...) do you mean grateful? anyway, I suggest a comb. oh, the comedy... but seriously, I don't know Ghost in the Shell - which part is the head?! What about the little 1x1x2/3 slopes? mo. (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My Second Original Mech

Hi Ken. If you are trying for the feminine look I've got a few suggestions. Taper the waist, maybe get rid of those two-sided slopes. You could also use those slopes to make the mecha breasts. Also you need to make slimmer hands. Maybe use droid (...) (18 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My Second Original Mech

Ok Let's try this again. (URL)Assassin406>> Since, as someone pointed out, the mech doesn't look very feminine I've decided to rename it and post some better pictures.   Re: My Second Original Mech

(...) Yeah, sorry about the ftx code. I was in a hurry to post those pics late last night. Thanks for providing a working link Mark.   Re: My Second Original Mech

When I look at this, it makes me think that it should be dancing. I can't think why. I like it. Agility is great, fragility is not so great, but seeing as I can't actually touch it, who cares? I like that tubing 'tache best of all - especially as (...) (18 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My Second Original Mech

(...) Yah, but the ftx code needs some work :) (URL) BS Link> Yup, I'd say so. You're getting a lot of the articulation knocked out nicely.
