Part 4: Oh no! Copying other students work is not allowed!
Well, were getting close to the final design. I was pretty sure that the
Exo-Force joints were going to be the right choice as I had always planned on an
ultra-lightweight body:
Also I have to admit that the body is inspired by Klaupacias design. I was
really struggling with ideas for the cockpit and then I saw Klaupacias work I
couldnt think how else to do it, plus I happen to know I have the required
parts in white! The odd colours are due to tempory stand-in parts Im using till
I can find the right ones.
Im really pleased Ive now managed to incorporate the bottom of the Robo-pod
container as well as the lid, which gives the hips a pleasing pod-like look and
provides some heavy armour underneath. The leg details have been changing with
every revision to the extent that Ive almost completely done away with the red
now.
The final push to completion might take a while as the I know I have the parts
but theyre buried under a several tons of boxes and paperwork in the back room.
Next Episode: Piles can be Hazardous! Take Extreme Careful Anti-Collapsing
Precautions!
Cheers,
Paul.
