As with the TV program of a similar name, “IRON CHEF” the cook off is seen by
all. That is simply not possible in this arena. BUT I ask that you please
provide links to your progress, as you are able. It allows people to see how
a mecha is made, allows for some banter amongst the contestants and audience,
helps our judges understand your build a little more throughly, and adds to
the flavor of the contest. There will be no demerits if you do not show
progress pics. And it might just help you push yourself to try things you
may otherwise never think of or try building something you never knew how to
build. An alternative measure is to post false pics of your build and make
for a dramatic reveal at the end. (I after all will not be checking)

As an interested observer, I think it would be very cool to see progress
pictures. Like you said, it’s not possible for everyone, but a good goal would
be to post pictures once per week.
