The minifig hand I used was from a C3PO. I found that the colour nicely simulated the amber colour of translucent plastic magazines used by certain armed forces nowadays.

Neat-o. That makes sense, but I’ll warn you--be ready to answer that question a lot! I imagine that I’ve seen plastic magazines in movies, but I’ve never noticed. To my layman’s expectation, the magazine is the same black as the gun, and I imagine that lots of my fellow rubes think the same.

For example, the (URL) Steyr AUG> and (URL) HK G36> are (...) (19 years ago, 30-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
