    Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
As usual I really don't know where this fits, so it's here in .mecha. Vampire bat made for Halloween. The body itself is small. Features my new wing design which essentially allows for huge light translucent wings. I plan on making a dragon sometime (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha) !!

        Re: Vampire Bat —Marco Tagliaferri
(...) this bat absolutely fits for Halloween. It almost fears me. really nice work (as always) Keep building Marco (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) Thanks Marco. It's always good to hear from the mecha guys. (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Aaron Amatnieks
(...) are organic, which is a word not normaly used in conjunction with lego. The body looks down right evil and once again organic, the creation of the lower jaw has me looking through my colection to see if I have any in black. but the wings. the (...)          Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) But organic is what I like to do :-) (...) Really though we all know the body was just an excuse to use the wings ;-) (...) I'll take madman (...) Thanks. I guess that I'm just too arrogantly shy to x-post to all the different groups. (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Vampire Bat —Aaron Amatnieks
(...) Damn you.... Organic my arse... Just finished the Brickjournal article on yourself. I've always loved "the rack", it is always one of the first models I show people when I explain that lego is just not only square houses and rectangular cars. (...)          Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) <snip> (...) We are all bad like that. Adding to the confusion is that I have 2 BS folders. (...) I'll be working on a How To section on my website soon. i'll stick stuff like the wings in there. (...) No you shouldn't! None of us do that, (...)         Re: Vampire Bat —Dan Thompson
(...) You should have put this under .general.insanely.awesome (...) Though the bat looks good and you have made good use of some odd parts it pales in comparison to the wings. I have never seen such beautiful wing designs. I greatly look forward to (...) (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

         Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) <snip> (...) Thanks. For years I've thought those stupid useless ninja and/or Ewok wings could make good wings; I could never figure out how to join them. Then for some reason I thought of essentially making a rectangle out of two. In (...) (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Mark Neumann
(...) <Mark cries...> Bastard. <snif> The wings! The body is nothing short of spectacular. It's quite arguably the most beautiful.... <Mark cries some more...> I hate you. Good Job. Mark (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Mladen Pejic
(...) hang them around my house. Can't wait to see how you'll implement that wing design into other MOCs, as well. Oh, and please post more often. Please. :-) (URL) Mladen Pejic> (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) That would look groovy. I'd like to make one that works like a kite. (...) I have another bird that I made way before the bat. I'll post it soon as well. Those wings are made with the Ewok ones which honestly look much better as they are (...) (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Patrick McFarland
(...) I think I'm going to cry. BTW, what are those wings made of? I've never seen a part like that before. (19 years ago, 19-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Aaron Amatnieks
(...) we all are :) (...) The part is the windsurfer sail, The print is from the ninja gliders sets [LEGOSet 6045]. Formally a piece that used to live at the bottom of my no other use box. Guess it is time to re-classify Aaron A (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: Vampire Bat —Bryce McGlone
(...) <snip> (...) I'm glad this model is being so well recieved. I honestly didn't think too much of it. I guess for me to think a model is good it has to take me to the edge of insanity. As this one only took about 4 hours to make and I was making (...) (19 years ago, 20-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
