K should write a story about the casting out of said clone brick.
What does a robot do when it realizes it does not like one of its parts?

I think Asimovs three robotic laws come into play:
1) A Robot shall never carry out any action which will cause any injury to any
human being.
2) A Robot shall always obey a human beings orders provided the first law is
not violated.
3) A Robot shall always try to protect itself, provided the first two laws are
not violated.
If a robot wants to destroy itself to remove a merely distasteful part, the
third law would be a problem. However, another robot could perform the
destruction (best when done suddenly and without warning). Now, this might seem
an offense in human law, but for robots its perfectly legal.
But it should be noted that in 2156, during a robot labor dispute, there were
several instances of cheap clone parts being planted at robocide scenes, after
the fact. Not that Im questioning the Rizmits motives... ;-)

| (...) Hold on!! You reworded the first law and through the rewording left out a critical part. it should read "A robot may not through action or inaction allow a human being to come to harm". I am an Asimov reader too! ;-) Anyway - glad to hear you (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I always felt the hips and upper leg sections needed to be refined. Other (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
