Thanks for posting these pics and head instrutions. I have been studying
your work for some time now. I was interested in getting a set of the
Teknomeka instructions. I have a question about that. I was wondering if the
new style turntables can be used in your design? I only have the new style
which is why I ask. I have been wanting to try to build one for some time now
but through what I have studied on this design I saw that you used the old
style turntables.

Youre talking about this:

Versus this:

The biggest difference is that the three mounting holes are
closer to the face of the turntable. It would take a
bit of re-engineering to use these. You might be able to make
a sort of mounting adaptor with technic bits to emulate the old
mounting positions.
Id be using these but they are still relatively rare parts.
If I used them Id just redesign the whole skeleton to accomodate them.
Maybe in Teknomeka 2.0. Itll be a long time before its easy
to get seven of these new turntables though.
You can still get the old turntables from the secret location.
Shhh. Dont say it out loud. ;-)

Maybe I'll get that #8436 Truck set with this new turntable and mess around with it. (...) (20 years ago, 4-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
