Frank, your stuff just keeps getting better! I know nothing about the Front Mission game, but I have a couple of Front Mission II figurines. I found them at a comic book store on a clearance table, and I have them standing in my building area for inspiration--they lend themselves well to rendering in Lego.

Cool. If you do have a PS2 and enjoy a good old fashioned turn based mech combat game with excellent movies, by all means pick up FM4.

I likewise spotted Sugegasa’s stuff on Brickshelf, but I like your bulkier rendering of the design better, and a very trick hip joint! I still haven’t figured out the ankle.
The ankle is my favorite part. So easy to build, yet so well concealed to give it the good “tough” look. Just take a close look at some of the closeups of his mechs legs and you should be able to find it out

   Other stuff I liked:

-very space-efficient cockpit solution
The cockpit was actually mostly an afterthought. I had the legs done first, and began the body from the bottom up. I had the lower torso and arms done, when i finally realized i was going to have to fit a minifig inside. After some slight modification i managed to make space, barely.
-the shaping you did on the chest/head area • Kind of a side effect of trying to fit a minifig in the torso as well. -the big baton--reminded me of when the Simpsons had a family therapy session with those foam-rubber bats
“Hey, these things work better if you take the padding off!”

   Suggestions:

-I think it might help the proportions if you could add some height by extending the calves.
I actually had the mech in a sort of battle stance. It was basically halfway crouched, with the legs fully extended, it is much taller, but loses the cool leg shape, i will definately try out your suggestion however.

-I know the Front Mission mechs have hands, but I think a version of this mech with much shorter upper arms and cannons in place of the lower arms would look sweet, especially since you have the head/chest area working so well.
Actually, the front mission mechs are all customiseable, ALA Armored core, and you can have weapon arms. I was planning on making different body parts for this mech so it could be part of a second line of modular mechs (hopefully) and will most likely add some machine gun and cannon arms to the mix!

   Thanks for posting.
Thanks for responding!
