Really, your only option is to use yellow. There really aren't enough gold
parts to make this work very well, and I'll be very disappointed if you
paint your Lego.
I suppose you could build the thing using one of the Lego CAD programs and
then make the bricks gold if you like.

The closest thing to a Gundam that I have built is my Enforcer mecha... but
it's only loosely based on a Gundam. It's fairly large, around 14 inches
tall.
As for the double scythe, I suppose you'll have to come up with something
innovative. I'm not sure what to suggest... maybe something with the
trans-neon-green antennas?

| Yeah, Mark's right, you gotta use yellow. I would also suggest using a L-CAD program like Mark said, but I personally think you could pull it off just by using regular yellow plates, tiles, even antenna. Here are some micro-fig Gundam models by (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)
