Hello all, I am back with more modular mecha parts! 1 head, 2 back parts, a
mech, and an arm mounted weapon. Here is the MM folder post mod:

The head part (samurai) is a head that i actually made many months ago on
accident but didnt know what to do with, so i made it into a MM head:

I made 2 back parts, the first is a generic missle launcher, the stinger.

The second part (my personal favorite) is the PWR heavy grenade launcher:

It uses a ammo and drum feed similar to Mladen Pejic's Dilur Model
http://www3.sympatico.ca/mladenpejic/Dilur.htm

Mine is a bit smaller but similar in many ways.

Lastly is the HAR heavy assault rifle. nothing to fancy here other than the use
of technic cams as a barrel:

The new mech i assembled using the new parts is the WarPig, it shows how the PWR
is mounted and shows that to have lots of big guns, you need the strongest legs.

(i added a second attachment point to the edge torso, i didnt feel like making a
new one, too lazy)

Last but not least is a joint idea. I am not sure if it has been done before,
but i will show it anyways!

It may not look like much, but so far i found the limit of what it can support
without twisting is limited by how strongly it is attached to the joint
itself... It is basically a technic Friction pin inside 2 technic bricks. On the
outside of each end of the pin, i stuck the handle of the loudhailer/blasters
in. This REALLY strengthens the pin. To hold the pin in place i used a 1x2 plate
and centered it over the top stud of the blaster. I then but the 1x2 plate with
1 stud on the bottom and attached it that to the technic brick using a 2x2
plate. it can be strengthened further by using different plates for added
support, but i just showed the bare essentials in the pics.(when i tested the
joint with ome extra support it held 3 battery boxes being held about 10 studs
away from the joint, after that the support parts came loose, but the joint
stayed strong)

I am horribly sorry to double post, but i am just re-posting to some other newsgroups, .mecha seems to be asleep :) The first message has links to what i am posting about as well as text. (...) This looks like it'd make an excellent knee joint. I'll definitely be making use of this. Thanks for sharing. Allister (21 years ago, 12-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
