(...) cant wait to see it. i thoguht your five star mech was a bit overdone in the legs, they didnt retain a shape and often went in weird directions, but the rest of it was pretty darn keen, and daring (the huge head piece heh) that's like the (...)   Re: ==Newest Mechs==**Very first all lego mech!!**

ah yes, i remember my first mech...but that is another story... anywho, very nice variation on the 'sawa, nice use of the lightsaber handle for the grip. and i am liking the sheild on the big one, does it expand like a gundams? great job on both, (...)   Re: ==Newest Mechs==**Very first all lego mech!!**

i really dig the armored core-style mecha for a couple of reasons: first of all, i like how you included multiple weapons systems for it and i also like the reverse knee look. the second reason why i like the mecha is because it looks kind of like a (...)   Re: New Mecha MOC: Neko 2

Man, that is pretty cool! I gotta say, my favorite thing about this mecha is the foot design - brilliant! If I have to criticize anything, my one critique would be that you used the SW click hinges for the knees, unlike the compact worm design for (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

The Process (was Re: Another Transformer - Trixie)

(...) I do now - well, not scanned as much as poorly photographed, but hopefully they're clear enough. I guess I'll just break down my process using Bitstream as an example. 1. First, I had to decide what kind of car I was going to use. I thought (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Wow, E! I didn't expect a treatise on Lego mecha, but you so obviously know your stuff... I have to say that I am so pleased to have participated (even via long-distance) in the Mecha display at BW03-- I couldn't have done it without you, and of (...) (...) How many have I made? Um, Neko I, II, Lola... that's it! (...) I'm assuming you mean a lateral 90 degree turn-- it wouldn't affect anything-- the ankles are symmetrical through 180 degrees.   Mecha "For Girls"

Greetings!   Re: Another Transformer - Trixie

(...) Hey, thanks! I guess it helps to be able to visualize it, but the vast majority of designing a transformer (for me, at least) is done on paper and in mock-ups and such. I can think about it all I want, but nothing's going to happen unless I (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
