Mechastruct entries: CXT-79 Strider and mining suit (long post)

I have only been posting for two days now and I am already posting my second and third models and contest entries. So, here they are: The CXT-79 Strider (URL) military 8" and under) The Strider was built as a light attack mech. They are quick and (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New builder and new mech (Mechastruct Entry: SRX-032 "Rook")

(...) Glad you like the chain idea. I came across that because the only thing that would work as a wheel (as a secondary movement system) and touch even with the foot was the gear. They looked boring so I put chain on them. Chris (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New builder and new mech (Mechastruct Entry: SRX-032 "Rook")

(...) Thanks, Tony. I'll try to post more soon. I actually have two more entries that I will post by the end of the day. (...) It is pretty boxy. I wanted it to be a little boxy from the start, but you are right about it is hard not to build a box (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: who started.........

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: HJ-025 GOBLIN

These are just righteous! I love the small stuff. (not to mention the ease of use of clip plates...) <<off topic comment>> Why is it we go nuts over the stuff we don't do. Not to say we can't, but don't. I go crazy over the small stuff and when I go (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey Chris, welcome to the mob. I particuarily like your use of the chain links on the heels. Great job! Mark Neumann (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: who started.........

(...) Yeah, I think this is the case. I remember I first saw them on Gla-Gla's AV-98 model, and immediately stole the idea. (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Welcome Chris! I am glad to see that mecha community here has grown nicely as of late, with you, the newest newbie, plus Jason, James, and Anne. I welcome you to our little place and I hope to see many more creations from you and see them develop! (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: HJ-025 GOBLIN

Hey Kotaro, I have been admiring these on Brickshelf for the past week. I really think these are nice. Do you really plan to mass produce this suit and build a whole army of them? That would make quite a cool scene. A swarm of 50 or so GOBLINs! WOW! (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: HJ-025 GOBLIN

Wow! Amazing hardsuits Kotaro! You've really outdone yourself this time. I just love how you made the "Goblins" look like real mass-produced man-machines. The weapons, shields, etc. are fantastic, especially the sniper rifle. Nice job! (...) -snip- (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
