Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Heh. Brian built my hand design... WOAH! (j/k) :-D (...) Thanks for the praise. LOL! Your comment about LEGO being clean is funny... A lot of my older LEGO is filthy and damaged. I waste so much time separating the newer, cleaner parts from (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Hiya Pat!!! I'm doing fine. Been busy with school so I haven't been able to participate much here on LUGNET. ;-) How are you??? (...) Thank you! Hey, are you working on anything new yourself? I really miss seeing new stuff from you (you're one (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

(...) Thanks Matt! The Minifig legs as hands is a idea I've seen before. I really only saw it in the flesh until Mark Sandlin showed it to me. I'm not sure who first came up with the idea but I'd give em credit here if I knew. Roll cage sort of (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

Thanks Ryan! I've worked on the feet a bit, little more splayed out, so the feet look a bit more proportional. The cockpit was fun, like you say the challenging bit was getting it all to fit in. It's not completely sealed so to speak but looks good (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

(...) I thought the look was pretty good. The trick was getting a nice seal on the cocpit. What I like is the way you can pop the canopy without opening the cockpit. (...) Thanks muchily. (...) Dude! You know you're in the clan. (I'll ship the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Neat idea, threading those control lever bases on a single lever to make a finger. The lighting of this mecha makes the brick lines less evident and with your studless style it looks very industrial, realistic. Too bad lego is always clean, (...) (...) Thank you Bryce! I'm always happy to hear from you! (...) I might take some pics later on. It's quite simple actually. (...) Heh... Thanks for the kind remarks John! ;-) (...) be your lighting. Yes, the torso is black. On my monitor it looks black in *most* of the pictures.   Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) seems somehow more refined. Every part is well executed and balanced. The color scheme is fairly military as well which adds a sense or realism. (...) Very very nice hands! I can't quite figure out how you made them, but I will ;-) Also (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) opened the first picture I thought: this isn't LEGO. O.K. this thing is amazing. I haven't been commenting too much on lugnet lately (big project at work) but I had to post a little comment about this. What color is the torso? black? it looks (...)   Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Hey... 'Sup! :-D (...) Thanks! (...) Heh... Go ahead, use it without hesitation! (...) That was one of the first things I build. I fiddled around with mounting in a simple way, and then just angled it downward. Worked out quite well IMHO. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Thanks Kyle. (...) Heh, thanks again, I worked especially hard on those parts of the mecha. (...) Yeah, I get what you're saying. I really don't like the hips too much either, but for a different reason: they aren't wide enough. If you look at (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

DUDE! This is a awesome model! I really like this. First off, the hands, "mmm-mmm good." :-) They really make the mecha come alive (not that it wasn't already), I like them alot, I wanna copy it, but...agh..must resist... :^) The lower leg is (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Thanks Rob! LOL! Those real-world questions concerning mecha cannot be answered. Mecha are purely sci-fi machines.   Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Hiya Kirby! (...) Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! BTW, I saw your models on Brickshelf. They really looked interesting, but the lighting was too dark and so I couldn't make out the details. Anyways, good luck with your own MOCs Kirby. ;-) (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

Nice job Mladen. The weapons are (of course) awesome. I see you have been making use of your 4 barrel cannon. I like the lower leg, looks especially neat for some reason. But I dont really like the hips, it seems kinda blocky there. All in all, I (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
