Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Thanks Rob! LOL! Those real-world questions concerning mecha cannot be answered. Mecha are purely sci-fi machines. Here's something funny taken from this site: (URL) of Japanese Animation #1 - Law of Metaphysical Irregularity The normal laws (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) Hiya Kirby! (...) Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! BTW, I saw your models on Brickshelf. They really looked interesting, but the lighting was too dark and so I couldn't make out the details. Anyways, good luck with your own MOCs Kirby. ;-) (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

Nice job Mladen. The weapons are (of course) awesome. I see you have been making use of your 4 barrel cannon. I like the lower leg, looks especially neat for some reason. But I dont really like the hips, it seems kinda blocky there. All in all, I (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) that new hand design is very interesting. I don't think I can apply it to my power armors but I will try. Thanks for the idea. Take care. (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mecha & LDraw Files

(...) <Snip> Wow, I really like this one. I'll congradulate it on it's legs, and the new hands! I also like the shape and direction of the torso ,but what happens if it takes a major hit there? :O) Rob robo2705@hotmail.com (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mecha & LDraw Files

Hi all, I just finished a new mecha. You can see it here: (URL) came from: Armored Core 2 Gundam Wing Xenosaga The model also hosts a new hand design (utilizes those small levers): (URL) I coverted all of my old inlined .DAT files into .MPD / .LDR (...)   Re: New Mech, Beast

(...) All right! I like the use of the sloped canopy and the minifig Legs as claws! Nicely done! The roll cage to holdthe canopy fits right in with the head. Inspiring, at best! Just my two brickz! <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet member No. 1112 (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

(...) All right Mark!! Looks really good. I've always wnted to use those cockpit pieces for somthing, but they never looked good. Looks a bit like the Hoplite I made. Only the colorscheme! Really smooth build, I like legs ;) Keep it up! Ryan (URL) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: LYB (what's the back like?)

Polished off and completed, pics of the rocket pack, appointed pilot, and a new enhancement; upper leg support. (via a really wierd yellow piece {*?*) (URL) Yeah! Thanks Legomaster (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: LYB (ankle pivot)

(...) ...I got the ankle side to side motion already, check out the way the ankle is pivoted both foward and back plus it pivots in the center side to side right in the middle of the package. (URL) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

Ahhhh!!! I always loved that clear sloped piece!!! And that the way to use it too! Right on the top lined on the sides with rugged looking technic roll cage like deals!! Ya, Combined with the utility Power suit/mech/device. Heh Jeep! 'excuszie, gota (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New Mech, Beast

(URL) here's a general purpose mech. That means a grunt's mech. Sort of like the jeep. It's meant to do it all, from construction duty to front line combat duty. Cheap to build, durable, very transportable, rugged. Beast actually got its name from (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

(...) The radar dish isn't chrome - it's gold. One of C3P0's eyes from the technic set. (...) The model doesn't look terribly big. At that scale, ball joints should be okay for standing. It looks like he used the Throwbot ball joints, which are of a (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

(...) That's putting it mildly! This is a stunning piece of work! Just drop dead, fall-on-the-floor admirable! It would be one thing to make it, but then at this scale, and with such detail, and such accuracy, and such poseability! OMG! I can't (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

OOOOH!!! That gets my mecha juices flowing!! I love the head and the legs. I want to know where he(?) got that chrome radar dish. Is that model all ball joints? I wonder how it can pose with just ball joints...I've tried them and they are too weak (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: LYB

LYB, SBB, LBB, BYOB, OPP, POP, DUI, MIP, VIP.....ya sorry I'm done now!!! Eric that is cool how you can make those color coded bots, but what about the color blind? Just kidding. I like the old smiley face bricks on the side, looks like graffiti!! (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gla Gla's Patlabor

(...) Yes, it's an excellent model. I love how he has created the suggestion of shapes where bricks won't allow enough actual detail. The revolver is obviously just a couple parts, but your mind wants to fill in the details. It's very well done. (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
