Those are high intensity flame throwers. They redirect waste fuel and heat from the reactor and spew it out all over unfortunate enemy soldiers. These mechas run very hot, and need to dissipate heat. By the way, you have to follow this path: Front Mission 3 --> Features --> Customization Unfortunately, the screen pics are a bit simplified. If you really want to see the mecha, you should try to find pictures of the toys. I'll report back if I (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
