  Re: Cankerworm Chapter 2

(...) Actually about 72 inches (6feet) long from head to tail. (...) My inspiration exactly. They are supposed to be an alien race. I've made four "troops" and a "leader". (...) Sort of a cheater guess since you and I talk on the phone every other (...) (23 years ago, 3-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Cankerworm Chapter 2

(...) The first teaser is the head, the second is part of the body/tail. I really don't know if this is even "Mecha" anymore. It's more of a big monster. My story has it being a biomechanical mecha of alien origin, so I guess it can look weird and (...) (23 years ago, 3-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Cankerworm Chapter 2

Annoy us? Are you nuts? Who else would throw out a 40 inch ling mecha insect with an rider on top for us to oggle? (It reminds me of the Sand Worm Riders in Dune) Mind you, I'm just gessing that to be the final size.... -Dave (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Cankerworm Chapter 2

I'm just so excited that I couldn't help another one...plus I was fooling around with Photoshop and thought the filter looked good. I know you can't see much, but it does look "mechy" right? Anyway I hope I'm not annoying you guys too badly...here's (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: An unsuspecting pilot...

(...) Faw down go BOOM! (...) I usually use IrfanView, which someone here turned me on to: (URL) It's really a stunningly good pocket-sized photo tweaker. I even use it more often than I use Paint Shop Pro. And, naturally, it's FREE! all best LFB (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Are we doing the right thing?

(...) I have built all sorts of mecha, of many different sizes and purposes. Currently, most of them are intended as mass production mecha, with only the Colossus being of the "Ultimate Weapon" type design. ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: An unsuspecting pilot...

Re: The Allied Terror, a good day for mecha...

(...) Are you kidding! It's horrid! It's just a blob of plastic sitting on a pair of wobbly legs! no form! no arms! stupid gun! nothing! (...) I'm expecting it, I hope I can get something built, but I can guarantee you it won't be anything (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Allied Terror, a good day for mecha...

(...) LOL! It's not (that) bad! :-) I like the back of the canopy with the extreme slopes facing each other. (...) Welcome to the biggy club. Few are brave enough to tackle the 24" tall mecha. You are indeed a brave warrior. Prepare for much (...) (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re:Smiling Minifigs (was: Are we doing the right thing?)

(...) I too miss the lack of standard minifig heads, though the new ones are good for developing minifig characters in my own little universe they just don't seems as happy.   Re: Tim's first mecha

Geordan, I don't know what platofrm you're on, but Microsoft Paint (bundled with Windows, natch) has a reasonably good scale function. I usually use Photoshop, though... I did like the "bear" nonetheless. Very CCCP. The non-weapon arm didn't have (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
